Physician Communcation; The Art and Skills of Effective Interaction with Patients - Part II

Learners should be able to:

  • Find and use resources available at HMNMH to improve communciation skill with non-English speaking patients/families as well as patients/families of different cultures who do speak English.
  • Follow regulatory standards regarding patients' rights to interpretive services.
  • Communicate more effectively with parents of minor patients, patients/families of geriatric and/or patients at end of life, and patients/families of various cultures to improve patients satisfaction.
