Every beat of your heart is precious—so take time to be good to your heart. You can start by attending Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s “Care for Your Heart” health fair on Friday, June 11, from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at the Santa Clarita Community Center in Newhall.
During the health fair, the community is invited to participate in free health screenings and receive valuable healthcare tips and information to promote heart health. Participants will receive a health passport and summary to record their screening results and Henry Mayo staff will be on hand to answer questions.
The health fair offers free health education materials, nutrition and smoking cessation information, and a series of health screenings, including:
Ø Blood Pressure Monitoring
Ø Height and Weight Analysis
Ø Body Fat Analysis
Ø Oxygen Saturation and Carbon Monoxide Measurement
Ø Cholesterol Test (12-hour fasting recommended)
Ø Glucose Test
Ø Stroke Education
The Santa Clarita Community Center is located on 22421 Market Street in Newhall. The health fair is open to the community; admission and health screenings are free. Spanish speaking materials and translators are available.
