Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital provided 187 flu shots to seniors, senior caregivers, Senior Center staff and others at the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center today.

The flu shot clinic was organized following a request from Senior Center staff after the county of Los Angeles, who typically provides the vaccination decided they could not provide the shots at the facility this year.Senior Nursing Director Donna Ferguson, Nursing Director Susan Romero and Clinical Coordinator Elizabeth Dahl provided the flu shots with the assistance of Marketing staff, a hospital volunteer and staff, interns and volunteers at the Senior Center.The senior center was grateful for the hospital services.
