The Alexander Technique is an educational approach to improving functional patterns of movement during everyday activities. The gentle, hands-on approach teaches mindful use of voluntary muscles to improve ease, efficiency, and confidence in activities of daily living.
Practicing the Alexander Techniques can help people living with Parkinson's by:
- Learn self-management strategies
- Calm tremors
- Move and walk with more ease
- Improve balance and coordination
- Increase awareness by recognizing different states of tension and relaxation
Registration is required. To register, call Julie Shelton, AmSAT at 310.625.5566
