Sports Performance Programs at Henry Mayo Fitness and Health are held in our top-quality Performance Institute training facility.
Athletes that enter the Performance Institute are coached from the moment they enter to the moment they leave. Every group is led from beginning to end by a degreed and certified coach through a proper warm-up, speed, power, strength training and stretching program.
All of our programs focus on movement education, injury reduction through posture and motor control, acceleration and deceleration training, multi directional top speed and agility, explosive power, proper functional strength and conditioning.

Youth Sports Performance Programs
Youth athlete groups are designed for younger athletes ages 8-12 and will help introduce them to physical fitness and sport performance training. Here we focus on a “Learn to Train” model that emphasizes deliberate play through awareness, balance, locomotion, agility, jumping, throwing and sprinting. This program is 60 minutes in length and designed to keep the younger athlete engaged.
Middle School Sports Performance Programs
Middle School athlete groups are designed for young athletes ages 11-14, an excellent age to begin building the foundations of their athletic development. As the young athlete advances over the years, this will help to prevent injuries. Our emphasis is on the “Training to Train” model where we teach young athletes the fundamentals of strength and conditioning in a safe learning environment. This program is 60 minutes in length and modified to help the younger athlete develop and grow.
High School Sports Performance Programs
High School athlete groups are designed for athletes ages 14-18 and made to enhance performance to gain a competitive edge. This is a more structured program following a “Train to Compete” model geared to improve strength, speed and power in order to get a leg up on the competition. This program is 60 minutes in length and is drawn up to suit the needs of the maturing athlete.
College Sports Performance Programs
Summer college athlete groups are designed for current collegiate athletes or those transitioning to the college level. This is a high level program centered on preparing the athlete for their upcoming school year. With the needs of these athletes in mind, the program uses both an advanced strength training plan as well as a more intense conditioning program. The program is 60 minutes in length and is focused on ensuring athletes are healthy and ready for their competitive season.
