We’re ready to help, with lactation specialists and classes to provide you with the support and knowledge you need.

Inpatient and Outpatient Consultations

Need more help? Our Lactation Specialists are available 7 days a week for bedside assistance, instruction, and solutions to complicated breastfeeding problems. Outpatient services include evaluation of breastfeeding, newborn weight, jaundice management, and more.

Successful Breastfeeding Class

Before you deliver, attend our Prenatal Successful Breastfeeding Class and learn the art of successful breastfeeding with our Lactation Specialists.

First Weeks Breastfeeding Workshop

Led by a Lactation Specialist, our workshop provides the support you need in the first three months with your newborn. You’ll also meet other breastfeeding mothers and discuss related issues.
Thursdays from 9 - 10 a.m. and 10:15 - 11:15 a.m.

Babies in arms welcome. Please no strollers. Most insurances accepted. If insurance does not cover the lactation benefit, there is a $10 charge for each session. For more information, call 661.200.1515.

Henry Mayo is now a designated Breast Milk Depot!

What can your milk donation do

• Human milk has immunologic components that protect at-risk NICU babies from potentially life- threatening infections.
• Any donated milk that we receive goes to the San Jose Mother’s Milk Bank, a non-profit milk bank that has been in operation for over 40 years.
• Donated milk is carefully screened twice before being sent out to hospitals in need.
• The milk donation screening process is easy. It includes a phone interview, paperwork and a free blood test.
