Nearly 700 Community Members Tour Henry Mayo’s New Patient Tower

VALENCIA, CA (October 12) — Nearly 700 community members took advantage of several opportunities to preview Henry Mayo’s new patient tower before it opens for patient care.

On Thursday evening, October 10, Henry Mayo held a special ribbon-cutting event for community leaders, hospital donors, and Henry Mayo board members. Attendees toured the tower after speeches and a ribbon cutting. Nearly 300 attended the event.

On Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to noon, Henry Mayo invited members of the public to tour the tower. Nearly 200 community members took advantage of the opportunity to preview Santa Clarita’s newest medical building. Refreshments were served and two lucky winners went home with gift baskets.

Also on Saturday a special event was held in the Henry Mayo Tower’s new Center for Women and Newborns from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Those interested in maternity services were treated to a tour of the new center. Refreshments were served and prizes were raffled. Over 200 visitors also attended this event.

Henry Mayo’s new patient tower includes 119 private patient rooms, including the 29-bed Center for Women and Newborns, additional surgical suites, a new café and kitchen, an expanded laboratory and blood bank, and a roof top helipad with direct Emergency Department access. Pending state licensing, the tower will be open for patient care later this year.
