City Approves Future Development

At Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, we must always look ahead to ensure we can meet our growing community's health care needs, have space for expanded services, and keep our campus up to date in technology. As part of this long term planning process, we submitted a development application for two future buildings on our campus and underwent an extensive planning review by the City of Santa Clarita. Our expansion received final approval from the City Council in April.

To be located in front of the new Patient Tower, the future buildings are intended to allow maximum flexibility in planning for future diagnostic and treatment service expansions and relocation of some inpatient beds in a new space to more easily comply with current OSHPD and ADA requirements. Henry Mayo will also add a parking structure on top of the underground parking located on campus near Orchard Village Road.

These approvals allow us to begin the detailed design on future needs. The timeframe for development is still to be determined, and is dependent upon finalized internal planning, development of building plans and, of course, financing. For over 45 years, Henry Mayo has been "Building for your Health" and we will continue to be prepared for future needs.
