Henry Mayo’s COVID-19 Update

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a significant issue for communities across the country. Our Hospital is extremely busy as COVID-19 patient care is generally more complex. Of course important regular procedures and emergent admissions are ongoing and we are thankful that people are taking care of delayed health needs. At Henry Mayo, you are safe in our care.

It is important to remain vigilant as pandemic fatigue might impact all of us. The Delta variant has been deemed to be highly contagious according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Vaccination is the best form of protection, but hand-washing, masking and social distancing also play important roles.

Currently, CDC is recommending that moderately to severely immunocompromised people receive an additional vaccine dose. Medical and healthcare professionals have discussed a plan for a possible roll-out of booster shots to be administered in the future. Please talk with your healthcare provider about your needs. Henry Mayo is awaiting additional vaccine guidelines and will advise our community with updated information as it becomes available.

This has been a challenging time for our community, but Santa Clarita Valley residents are extremely resilient and we are truly grateful to our Henry Mayo team as they work heroically to continually serve our community.
