Our Great Healthcare Team Receives Community Support
We are so thankful to our amazing community for their ongoing support!
In the early months of the pandemic, Santa Clarita Valley businesses and residents reached out to donate to Henry Mayo and our healthcare team. From masks, shields and other PPE to generous meals and treats, it was all much appreciated and important to our efforts. As the virus expands in our region and impacts Henry Mayo significantly, the community continues to take care of its local hospital and staff and invest in our critical programs. We are grateful for the many churches and organizations who gathered substantial treats for our various units, our neighbors who dropped off cases of water and drinks to share, many of our local restaurants and bakeries for arranging meals, and the companies and individuals who donated financially to our Foundation.
We also received numerous Healthcare Hero donations as patients and families nominate various physicians, nurses, and other staff, recognizing their compassionate and dedicated care, particularly in the challenging times of COVID-19. When a member of our Hospital family is nominated, we honor them publicly so all our employees and our community can celebrate their recognition.
Healthcare Heroes are not all clinical people. Many non-clinical staff contribute to the success of our mission. Recently, the Foundation staff was nominated as Healthcare Heroes in recognition of the outstanding work they have done, especially in coordinating all the community donations. They would say it’s a joy to see the great appreciation of our staff as the community shows its support.
As a not for profit independent hospital, we rely on philanthropy to enhance our programs and growth. We are grateful to our ongoing New Tower Campaign Contributors, Corporate Partners and thousands of other donors who invest generously in Henry Mayo.
