Longtime Henry Mayo Volunteer Passes Away

Longtime Henry Mayo volunteer Judy Peterson passed away on Monday, January 2.

Judy began supporting Henry Mayo as a member of the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Guild and Home Tour. Judy was also a member of the hospital Auxiliary, twice serving as president, in 1994 and again in 2004.

In 1992 Judy started volunteering in the Henry Mayo Marketing Department, where she was a reliable and beloved presence for many years. Judy loved Henry Mayo and she loved volunteering. Over a period of 35 years she selflessly gave 25,000 hours of service and support to Henry Mayo.
In addition to volunteering, Judy also trained new volunteers and influenced so many of our excellent volunteer team.

In lieu of flowers, Judy’s family asked that donations be made to the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation. Proceeds will help purchase a plaque with Judy’s name to be placed on the Family Memorial Wall.

There will not be a service for Judy. Her family will lay her to rest in a private setting.
