Meet the Newest Foundation Board Members
The Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation welcomes three new board members in 2023: Jason Groshart, Robert “Jack” Casey, MD, and John Prabhu. Each new member brings a unique background and talent to our Foundation Board and we are excited to have their support.
Jason Groshart is a healthcare project manager at Bernards, overseeing a diverse range of projects that include hospitals, medical office buildings, skilled nursing facilities, and VA healthcare. With extensive experience in HCAI procedures and over 30 years of industry expertise, he excels in building collaborative teams that deliver successful outcomes in this specialized market sector. Originally from Santa Ynez, California, Jason holds a BS degree in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and is a certified OSHPD Class A Hospital Inspector. He is also a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers. Jason and his family are true believers in giving back to the community and can often be found volunteering for numerous youth organizations throughout the community.
Dr. Robert "Jack" Casey is an emergency medicine physician at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital since 2009, and is the current Medical Director of the Emergency Department. Dr. Casey currently serves as the Primary Care Department Chair and Quality Performance Council Representative, Chair of the Henry Mayo Newhall Care Network Finance Committee and as a member of the Henry Mayo Newhall Care Network Board of Managers. He also sits on the Medical Executive Committee and Finance Committee of the Hospital Board of Directors. He has a deep interest in improving Quality of Care and Patient Experience and has been involved in leadership efforts related to both. Dr. Casey attended Medical School at Harvard, he completed his internship at Cambridge Hospital and an Emergency Medicine residency at UCLA-- where he was selected as Chief Resident and was a member of the hospital’s Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Committee. He began his attending career at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, before a friend encouraged him to join the Medical Staff at Henry Mayo. Dr. Casey, his wife and daughter enjoying living in Southern California. They are avid travelers and have explored over 70 counties.
John Prabhu is the co-founder of LA North Studios, a rapidly expanding soundstage operator in Santa Clarita. LA North Studios has attracted major film and television productions, working with renowned studios such as Disney, Warner Bros., and Netflix. Since opening in 2018 the studio has five separate campuses with 16 sound stages. One of the driving forces to open LA North Studios was to keep entertainment jobs local and in California. In addition, John has 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, where he has facilitated over $4 billion in transactions and specializes in property investment and management. Having been raised in Southern California, John attended UC San Diego and earned his degree in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences. John and his family reside in Santa Clarita and support various nonprofits across the country through their philanthropic efforts.
