Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Announces New Chair and New Vice Chair for its Board of Directors

Dale Donohoe was confirmed as board chair at the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital March board of directors meeting. Donohoe replaces Chris Luechtefeld, who has served as board chair since March 2022 and will continue to serve on the board of directors.

Donohoe is chief executive officer of Intertex, one of the large construction companies in the Santa Clarita Valley.  He joined the Henry Mayo board of directors in March of 2020, most recently serving as vice chair.  He grew up in the Santa Clarita Valley and graduated with honors from Claremont McKenna College, where he played basketball and was later inducted into the college’s Athletic Hall of Fame.  A longtime community volunteer, he has served on the boards of the Santa Clarita Boys and Girls Club, the Santa Clarita Child & Family Center, and other organizations.

Todd Stevens, president and CEO of Black Knight Energy, was appointed vice chair of the Henry Mayo board.  Stevens has served on the Henry Mayo board since 2016.

Henry Mayo’s Board of Directors is charged with overseeing the overall quality and sustainability of hospital services, facilities, finances, properties and affairs. Each Board member may hold terms of up to 12 years and ex officio members include the Chief Executive Officer and Chief of Staff. All board members are community-minded individuals who receive no compensation for their services on the board. Appointments are recommended by a separate Governance Committee consisting of the CEO, Board Chair, Chief of Staff and other respected members of the community.
