Henry Mayo Volunteer Turns 100 Years Old

Bobbie Blakey began volunteering in 1988 with Connie Toomey, Director of Volunteer Services. She started as a Home Tour member and belonged to the Home Tour Gamboree Group. She always participated in the Home Tour Fashion Show as one of the lovely models.

After Bobbie Blakey’s husband of over 50 years passed, Bobbie had a second chance at love when she met John Stephens who was also widowed. They wasted no time and married and began volunteered together in the Gift Shop. They both joined the Auxiliary and in 2004 Bobbie was presented with the Auxiliary Lifetime Member Award.

To date Bobbie and John Stephens are still Auxiliary Members and support the hospital in any way they can.
