Programs and Events

Our programs are committed, ongoing efforts which significantly impact the hospital. They are focused on areas which we believe benefit the community most.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October). Each October, during the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the community supports the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Center at Henry Mayo. Make an annual gift to help expand the hospital's program of support, diagnosis and treatment for men and women battling this devastating disease.

Corporate Partners Our Corporate Partner Program allows businesses to participate in our events and programs, meet with clinical and executive leaders, stay abreast of important health care news, and network. Levels of support range from $2,500 to $25,000

Gift of Life (December) has been a tradition in the Santa Clarita Valley for many years. Many community members experience the joy of giving this holiday season by making a gift in memory or in honor of a loved one, ranging from $25 to $1,000. Funds raised help support life-saving medical care for your community and are recognized with a commemorative holiday ornament, on our website and on the Gift of Life Display in the hospital lobby during the month of December. All memorialized names are also read aloud at our Annual Light Up A Life Ceremony.

Healthcare Hero Program Recognize the individual(s) who made a difference in your experience at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital— by making a donation to our Healthcare Hero program. A gift may be made in honor of a physician, nurse, staff member or volunteer.

National Doctors Day Every March 30th, the nation celebrates Doctors Day. Patients and families are invited to make a gift to the Foundation in honor of a physician-past or present- who has touched their life in a special way. In recognition of your donation, we will send a special note of appreciation informing your physician that you have made a Doctors Day gift in his or her honor.

Legacy Giving Your generous gift will ensure that Henry Mayo improves the health of everyone we serve for generations to come. Become a Home Tour Member The HMNH Home Tour League is dedicated to raising funds for Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. Our fundraising efforts begin each spring with the Annual Fashion Show and Membership Luncheon, followed by the Home Tour Gala and Holiday Boutique, held annually during the first weekend of December.

Foundation Events

Events provide multiple opportunities for individuals and corporations in our community to support the Foundation. The events have significant impact, through sponsorships, auctions, ticket sales, and more. They offer individual and corporate citizens in our community excellent opportunities for sponsorship, volunteering and involvement:

Annual Light Up A Life Ceremony The Annual “Light up a Life” ceremony is held on second Tuesday of every December. The program will pay tribute to the many people honored with memorial gifts throughout the year. A candle will be illuminated as each name is read aloud. The candles will be placed in our Tower Healing Garden and the Sandnes Courtyard as testimony to the loved ones who were remembered. Save the Date for Monday, December 16, 2024.

Frontier Toyota/Henry Mayo "Drive Safe" Annual Golf Classic Raises over $200,000 annually to support emergency and trauma services in our valley - a vital, life saving service for our residents. Save the Date for our Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Valencia Country Club.

Holiday Home Tour Gala and Boutique This cherished tradition of the Home Tour League, raising funds for the Roberta G. Veloz Cardiovascular Center. Gala attendees view selected Santa Clarita Valley homes exceptionally decorated for the Holiday Season. Each home is professionally decorated and adorned according to a chosen theme. Holiday Home Tour Fashion Show Raises over $24,000 annually to support the Roberta G. Veloz Cardiovascular Services at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
