Sue Nevius Passes the Torch

April marks the “Passing of the Torch” as Sue Nevius ends her leadership of our Foundation Board of Directors and we welcome Rose Chegwin, as the new Chair. Sue is with American Family Funding and has served on the Board for years. Rose is VP, Human Resources & Administration, Del West USA and Board member since 2008.

For the last two years, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation has experienced tremendous success under the careful guidance and strong leadership of Sue Nevius. Sue was a steady leader during the onset of the pandemic and her creative ideas were invaluable as the Foundation transitioned to virtual meetings, and reimagined many of our fundraising events.

“Sue has been a warm and welcoming leader at board meetings, donor events, and community affairs. She’s served in partnership of our mission with her willingness to reach out to engage business leaders on behalf of Henry Mayo. Although Sue’s role as chair has come to an end, she will continue to be a strong voice on our board, while supporting our host of cultivation and fundraising efforts,” said Marlee Lauffer, President Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation.
