May Foundation President's Message 

May is the season of new beginnings as the first half of the year comes to an end and summer- with all the joy it brings- is around the corner.

Our longstanding Frontier Toyota Henry Mayo Golf Classic which raises needed funds for emergency and trauma services is traditionally held in May and we had a great time last weekend at its 51st event! So much gratitude is extended to our sponsors, including title sponsor Aman Abraham of Frontier Toyota, Myles McNamara of Comfort keepers In-Home Care, Bernards, Sodexo, Vituity- Anesthesia and Emergency Physicians, Logix Federal Credit Union. UVDI, Inc. and  Facey Medical Group and It was a spectacular day on the course raising significant dollars for our emergency services.

We celebrated all our extraordinary nurses last week during National Nurses Week. This week commemorates National Hospital Week and we pay tribute to our entire hardworking team. Of course, at Henry Mayo we are grateful to all our staff, volunteers and physicians ever day!

Self-care is important always, and it starts with mental health. Mental Health Awareness is a focus in the month of May and we are proud to partner with many community organizations on Stop the Stigma, held on our campus Saturday May 18^th. It’s a free event featuring resources and information.

This month is also a great time to say thank you to our community-- you support Henry Mayo in so many ways! We take great pride in the excellent services we offer on campus and in the community and we know that your philanthropic investment in us makes the difference in our success. You are much appreciated!
