September Foundation President's Message

Greetings from Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation! There is finally a crispness in the air signifying the changing of seasons. And with the summer ending, it’s a perfect time to remind everyone to take care of our health. Whether it's the recommended fall vaccines, including Flu and COVID, routine screenings for prostate, lung, breast or colon cancer or remembering to schedule that annual visit to your regular physician, now is a good time to focus on you and prepare for the upcoming cold and virus season.

It's also time to think about all the ways that we can support our Sheila R. Veloz Breast Center with the international focus on October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We are grateful to our generous community partners who help us raise both funds and awareness for our renowned breast health program. Our fundraising helps uninsured and underinsured women with diagnostic and other treatments and ensure our Sheila R. Veloz Breast Center is state of-the-art!

And our Holiday Home Tour events are always a highlight as we approach year-end! This year, the Home Tour, aptly themed Hearts Aglow, will focus on raising money for the Roberta G. Veloz Cardiovascular Center as we undertake plans to add an additional Cath Lab and new services. Please consider joining us in the festive and fun celebrations!
